skincare tipsHealthy glowing natural looking skin, what not to love.  They say natural beauty comes from within, but good skincare helps mother nature do a better job at it. Is that not what we all want to have? Healthy natural glowing skin, too can be one of the easiest or hardest to achieve. A lot of it depends on our diet, sure, but it can also be achieved with a little help from our skincare routine. Our skin, along with our hair, can be judged on the first impressions made. If we do not have clear, natural glowing skin, and well taken care of hair, well you can lose out on things like a new job, new date etc. That may sound harsh, but that is the world we live in today. So what can we do to help our skin?
What makes it really tough is the range of skincare that there is available these days.
When you are out in the store, you see rows and rows of skincare products leaving you with the idea of why bother? How do I know it will work anyway? Or you will be reaching for the highest priced products thinking they must work since they cost X amount over all the rest.It seems we are all programmed to think that the higher the price, the better it would be. Well not always. High priced skincare may have more ingredients, but you can find a few real gems that do a better job for under $50.00. You just need to have a good idea of what to look for. You really need to just have the basics with no need to go overboard. There is no need to kill your wallet, right?

So what do we need?

Exfoliating your skin is very important!
Helping your skin by removing dead skin cells stops your skin from looking dull and, yes, older. It is better to exfoliate at night instead of the morning because you are removing any buildup on your skin from your day.

With a serum, what do you look for? Well did you know that Vitamin C is a very potent antioxidant? It helps brighten your skin and even helps fade the sun spots that make your skin look flat and dull. That is one of the major reasons why serums with vitamin C are very important. You also want one that will help by giving your skincare its base. Without a good serum you are not helping your moisturizer do its job. No matter what you may have read, you really do need a serum, no matter your age.

It just depends on your age which type would be better for you. Mature skin like mine, needs more anti-aging, potent antioxidants that work on neutralizing free radicals, and fade sun spots just for starters. That is my skin. I am over 50, I need all the help I can get! There are really nice ones that are oil based, cream based, and also gel based. I have personally found that oil-based one are easiest to apply. The gel based ones seem to leave my skin feeling strange. And the cream ones? Well they seem to have the highest price tags. I will never understand that.

Moisturizers are based a lot on your age group as well as what type of skin you have. What would work for someone with dry skin may not work for someone with oily skin. It will also depend on what time of year it is. You will need a lighter moisturizer for summer time and a heavier moisturizer for winter.

This is really a basic set of skincare products we all should be using. It doesn’t matter your age, you need to be using sunscreen. Saving your skin for when you get older is something a basic sunscreen can help with. The higher SPF is needed.

Sleep. I know it isn’t skincare but a good nights rest works wonders! Your skin cells turn over at night time, while you are sleeping, which is one of the biggest reasons why sleep helps!

Good, well taken care of skin helps your foundation do a better job. You’ve got to start with the basics if you want that natural healthy glow.
I’d like to thank Kleem Organics Vitamin C Serum for helping women everywhere get that wonderful healthy glowing skin!
