Does this product lighten acne scars?

Yes, thanks to the presence of Vitamin E that works as an anti-inflammatory and to the presence of Vitamin C which stimulates the cellular turnover and enhances the skin’s natural glow, this serum helps to lighten and reduce acne scars.

Can I use this with benzyl peroxide?

It is best not to combine benzyl peroxide with Kleem Organics Acne Serum as benzyl peroxide may counteract the effects of the other active ingredients contained in the serum. We therefore suggest to use the alternate the application of these two products.

Where is the product made?

The product is made in the USA.

Does it help breakouts without drying the skin?

Yes, the Acne Serum has been formulated to help the skin shed dead cells from the top layer and decrease redness and swelling. This reduces dramatically the number of breakouts that form and speeds healing without stripping the skin of its moisture barrier. However, we do always advise to apply a moisturizer after the serum to guarantee the skin with the hydration it needs as normally serums on their own do not fulfil the hydrating function of moisturizers.

Can I use this to reduce eczema?

It may help reduce eczema, however in this specific case, we do suggest to consult your dermatologist to evaluate your skin and tackle the underlying cause of your concern.

How long before I see any improvements?

It depends on the improvements you are looking to address; for instance, smoother and brighter skin can be achieved after a few days of application, reduction of age spots and wrinkles take at least a couple of months, improvements in the clarity of your skin can take from two to six weeks. Is it cruelty free?

Absolutely, all our products are cruelty free.

May it cause irritation to the skin?

This product has been studied to be suitable for sensitive skin too, so it should not cause irritation. However, if you have very sensitive skin and you find yourself to be allergic to specific ingredients, we suggest to do a patch test before to be sure the product works for you.

Does the product have a scent?

It has a delicate and subtle citrusy scent.

Do I have to rinse it off before moisturizing?

No, the Acne Serum does not have to be rinsed off. You can apply the serum after your cleansing routine, followed by your moisturizer and sunscreen.

Can I apply this after a aha/bha toner?

One of the ingredients contained in our Acne Serum is Vitamin C, which stimulates cellular renewal. For this reason, we generally don’t recommend mixing Vitamin C with your AHAs and BHAs as it may cause irritation. It would be best to use Vitamin C during the day and AHA or BHA only a few times per week.

Do I need a moisturizer after this?

Yes. The Acne Serum has a lightweight consistency and delivers actives into the skin. It must always be followed by a moisturizer to both “lock-in” the treatment and to create a physical barrier that locks in hydration and prevents skin from drying.

Does the use of the correct cleanser influence the performance of the serum?

Indeed yes, in order for all your skin care products to work deeply and properly, the skin needs to be correctly cleansed.

Does it sting after application?

A slight tingling sensation may be felt upon application. Although, this sensation should last not more than a couple of minutes and it should not be overwhelming.

Can I use this in combination with prescription products?

It depends on the type of prescription. In these cases, it is best to have a consultation with your dermatologist to better understand which products you are using and which can be combined.

How many times a day/week can I use this product?

You can use this product on a daily basis, however if you have never used a Vitamin C based product, we suggest to start off with a 2 or 3 times per week application until your skin has adjusted to the ingredients.

Does it help unclog pores?

Yes, it can help unclog pores. This serum contains many anti-inflammatory ingredients which can help soothe and clear the skin. Always keep in mind to correctly exfoliate so that your skin is ready to absorb properly the active ingredients contained in your skin care products.

Can this product help diminish milia?

Retinol may be a more suitable treatment along with either Cryotherapy or chemical peels.

Can I use this product around the eye area too?

This product has been precisely studied for acne and it is not an eye treatment. If you have specific concerns related to the eye area, we recommend opting for an eye cream.

Can this product be used by a teenager?

Yes, this product can be used by both teenagers and adults. However, we always suggest to consult a dermatologist also to make sure there is no allergy towards any active ingredient.

Is it paraben free?

Yes, this product is paraben free.

Does it help hormonal acne?

If you cyclic flares each month, distribution along the lower face, jawline and/or around the mouth and deeper, painful pimples then you may have hormonal acne. In this case, Vitamin C, Green Tea and Vitamin E can help this concern. We do always recommend a visit with a dermatologist to determine your type of acne and consequently the most appropriate treatment.
