Yes, the Retinol Moisturizer is cruelty free at every stage of production.

Is this safe to use with acne prone skin?

Yes, the concentration of active ingredients, especially Retinol and Vitamin E, allows the cells to turn over faster and to produce more collagen therefore contributing to clearer and more even skin.

Which is the percentage of Retinol contained in the product?

The product contains 0.5% of Retinol in strength and 2.5% in volume.

Does this product contain SPF?

No, this product does not contain SPF. We have opted for not mixing Retinol with UV and UVB protection in the same product to avoid any kind of interaction (the combination of products that contain bio active ingredients can alter or neutralize their effects). What we always suggest is to apply sunscreen after your moisturizer and to apply in general sunscreen regardless of the cosmetic product that you are using. If you plan to spend a long time exposed to the sun, then it is better to apply the Retinol moisturizer only during your night skin care routine.

Is it useful for dark spots and hyperpigmentation?

Yes, the concentration of active ingredients, especially Retinol and Vitamin E, allow the cells to turn over faster and to produce more collagen therefore contributing to clearer and more even skin.

Can I wear it before my make-up?

Yes, the consistency allows a perfect make-up application. Although do always remember your SPF.

Does Retinol cause redness?

Retinol is a powerful and effective anti-aging ingredient. The percentage contained in the moisturizer is mild however, if it is your first time using Retinol, to avoid common side effects, such as slight redness or dryness, we encourage to start off with a gradual introduction in your skin care so that your skin can adjust to the ingredient while enjoying its extraordinary properties. Once your skin had adjusted to the product, you can switch to the once/twice a day application.

Which age group is this product suitable for?

We suggest to start using Retinol in Your Mid '20s or Early '30s.

Yes, the product contains Organic Palm Oil.

The ingredient has been outsourced according to the standards for sustainable practices related to social, environmental and economic good criteria. We possess the documentation that certifies the usage of sustainable Palm Oil and we are always available to share it with customers who request it.

We have opted for the use of this ingredient as it very beneficial for the skin. It contains beta carotene, which is a powerful antioxidant that neutralises free radicals that can lead to premature aging by destroying your body cells, including those of your skin. Palm oil is also a natural source of vitamins such as Vitamin A and C. In addition, palm oil is also a good moisturizer, and promotes smoother and healthier skin.

Can I use this product on my eye area too?

The Retinol Moisturizer has not been specifically studied for the eye area. However, it can absolutely get benefits from the collagen-building aspects of Retinol. In general, it is better not to apply any cosmetic product too close to the eyes hence eyelids due to the sensitivity of the area. It is best to apply the Retinol Moisturizer under the eyes and on the side. This being said results may take longer than with the use of a specific eye product. If you are looking for a specific eye care product, we would suggest to opt for our Firming Eye Cream formulated with a complex of vitamins and peptides.

Does the product have a scent?

Yes, the product has a mild and subtle scent that derives from the plants’ extracts contained in the formulation.

Can I combine Retinol with BHA or AHA exfoliants?

Yes, you can. Regardless of the fact that many say that these ingredients cannot be associated, this is known to be one of the false myths in skin care. No scientific research demonstrates, supports or concludes that AHA or BHA exfoliants deactivate or make retinol less effective when used in the same skin-care routine . It turns out that the claim of retinol not working with AHA or BHA exfoliants involves a misunderstanding about how skin-care ingredients work together, and how each affects the structure of the skin. Retinol and exfoliants work very differently to improve skin, but complement each other when paired in a complete skin-care routine. What we at Kleem always do suggest is to get to know your skin as much as possible so that you know what it’s best for its health.
