One thing I LOVE about allantoin is how soothing it is for skin that is irritated or flared up. This has enough of it to soothe skin that's angry.I recommend this one for sure. It's not going to irritate sensitive skin and like I said, the ingredients really do a great job working on problem areas. For improving texture and calming things down? Outstanding.As far as its skin- lightening qualities, it did a good job on some of my sun blotchies from being on the beach too long without reapplying sunblock but the darker hyperpigmentation spots did not noticeably fade.This is a great versatile serum that's lightweight and will not weigh you down if you wear it during the day!"

"My wife got this serum from to help with discoloration and hyperpigmentation, as a resultfrom menopause. As with most skin care products, she went into using this without any highexpectations. However, this serum has worked wonders on her skin and at a fraction of a costas some other brands that she's tried.With her skin care routine, she usually uses a serum underneath a moisturizer which seems towork well for her. In just about a month after using this serum, she noticed her skin appearedlifted, and with an overall smoother appearance. After another few weeks, her skin appearedmuch more even and any hyperpigmentation had almost disappeared. In addition, the fine lineson her forehead and around her eyes have softened significantly.She is not sure if it's just this serum that has made such a difference, or the combination of thisserum and her other skin care products, but the results are worth spending the money tocontinue to use this serum. How many times a day should I apply it?
Depending on your specific needs, we suggest to apply the product once a day in the evening before your moisturizer, either on the area of treatment or on the whole face. If you have never used a dark spot treatment before, start with a 2/3 times per week application to allow your skin to adjust to the new ingredients.
Will this product interact with AHA or BHA exfoliants?
The Dark Spot Corrector Serum contains a high concentration of Vitamin C. For this reason, we generally don’t recommend mixing Vitamin C with your AHAs and BHAs as it may cause irritation. It would be best to use the vitamin C during the day and AHA or BHA only a few times per week.
Will this product affect my tan?
No, it does not affect your tan. The Dark Spot Corrector Serum contains a high concentration of vitamin C, which is an ingredient well known for fighting against the effect of both UVB, which mostly effects the external layers of the ski and UV, which are the most dangerous as they can penetrate deep into the skin cell, mutating the DNA molecule, altering and destroying collagen, elastin and other skin cellular structures. The use of a properly-applied sun cream can only stop around 55% of free radicals produced by UV rays. The 45% of free radicals left, responsible for photo-aging can be blocked by the application of the powerful antioxidant vitamin C. Vitamin C doesn’t create a protective shield against the UV rays, since it doesn’t absorb them, instead it neutralizes the dangerous free radicals. This highly beneficial and desirable effect cannot be provided by any solar cream. That’s why it’s so important to use both solar cream and vitamin C serum for best protection. Also keep in mind that frequently age spots derive from over exposure to the sun so always remember to apply your sunscreen regardless of the active ingredients in your skin care routine and to protect your face with a hat during summer. Your skin will be thankful to you.
